A carpenter is a specialist in the construction industry who specializes in the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of wooden structures such as doors, windows, stairs, fences, and other elements of wooden architecture. Carpenters possess extensive knowledge and skills in working with wood and other materials such as plywood, particleboard, and MDF.

First and foremost, carpenters study plans and drawings to understand client requirements and determine the materials that will be used in the work. They measure the spaces where wooden structures will be installed and ensure accuracy and size compliance. They then cut, mill, sand, and assemble individual wooden parts using a variety of tools, including circular saws, planers, and hand tools.

In the course of their work, carpenters employ their craftsmanship to create high-quality wooden structures that meet safety and aesthetic requirements. They can work on construction sites, in carpentry workshops, or even on-site, taking into account the project's needs and client's specifications. Carpenters may also be involved in surface finishing, installing locks, hinges, and other hardware to ensure proper functioning of the wooden structures.

Additionally, carpenters can perform repair work and maintenance of wooden elements such as floors, ceilings, and furniture. They utilize their skills to restore damaged parts, replace weak or damaged elements, and ensure the durability and functionality of wooden structures.
