Industrial alpinists are capable of working at heights such as buildings, bridges, pipelines, electrical poles, and other structures where access from the ground is difficult or impossible. They utilize specialized equipment such as harnesses, carabiners, ropes, descenders, and other safety devices to ensure their personal safety while on the job.
Industrial alpinists can undertake a wide range of tasks including inspection and maintenance of existing structures, installation and dismantling of constructions, metal structures, or advertising elements, mounting surveillance cameras or antennas, servicing wind turbines, removing ice or snow from roofs, and much more. They can work on construction sites, power plants, oil platforms, as well as in mountainous and natural environments.
